Madleen Buchar

Madleen Buchar joined the PETER MAY Family Office Service GmbH & Co. KG team as a Senior Manager on April 1, 2021. Priorly, Madleen Buchar worked in the strategy and transaction advisory practice of a leading international auditing firm in both Hamburg and Madrid. During her eight year employment she accompanied approximately 40 transaction projects for various client types in numerous industries.

Madleen Buchar advises clients on all transaction-related matters regarding the financial organization of families, companies and family offices. In addition to her key focus areas of financial due diligence, business valuation and advice on sale-and-purchase agreements, Madleen Buchar is primarily concerned with issues relating to the diversification of company assets in entrepreneurial families and environments. She further advises family members and single family offices (if established) on issues of asset allocation in corporate investments - including the selection of potential investment opportunities, share valuation and financial due diligence - and ensures that transparent reporting measures to the shareholders are in place by the acquired company.

Having supported a large number of transactions for family offices and investment companies financed by entrepreneurial families in recent years, Madleen Buchar excels at steering and guiding business transactions with complex structures in various sectors, such as the textile industry, industrial services or the maritime industry. In doing so, Madleen Buchar adheres to the following guiding principles: "The big challenges we face in our daily work revolve around communication, focus and structure. Our work is multidimensional, both at the level of the parties involved - family members, executives in the family businesses, contacts in the family offices, and the multitude of other advisors that we coordinate in the interests of the family - and at the level of the topics and situations on which we focus our expertise. It is also important to ensure proper filtering of confidential information. Connecting these spheres is an essential and motivating component of my work."
